Celtic Artwork
Choosing a Celtic design or theme for your Celtic carved leather project or gift can be confusing, daunting and difficult with so much Celtic art work. I suggest you think about what you are looking for and how this will look on your piece of your Celtic carved leatherwork.
Also, as with any craft, there are some limitations as to just how detailed the art- work can be while retaining a high standard of quality and workmanship and, of course, keeping the leatherwork cost effective and within the reach of you the customer.
So with that in mind, I have included some Celtic artwork on the following pages and divided the pages up into the following Celtic categories to help you decide which is right for you. You can also use the internet. (Courtney Davis is a very accomplished Celtic artist. Take a look at his website for some awesome inspiration.) Also, your local library or bookshop is great for further ideas.
Please remember that bold is good for carving leatherwork. As I said previously, there is a limit to just how fine (small) you can carve leather.
